These words, like autumn’s leaves
Fall randomly here
Without a pattern we can see
Nor any clear meaning.
You may choose to gather
Them together in piles
Or just let the winds
Scatter them abroad
Beneath winter’s snow they will compact
And mold and worms, by spring, attract
To serve to nourish future trees
Or garden flowers, if you please.
Combined anew and remixed
Their deficiencies will all fixed
A result of your careful screening
A bright, new growth of meaning.
